Children shape the future through the habits they learn today. We exist to make healthy living, care for nature, and kindness simple, fun, and part of everyday life.

Meet the founder

Meet the Founder.

Michelle Larley Ayirebi is a sustainability professional, entrepreneur, educator, children's author, and mother of two with a passion for raising children who care for themselves and the planet.

  • Her Journey

    With over a decade of experience in sustainability and the energy sector, Michelle champions initiatives that protect our environment and uplift communities. She is also the founder of Blucarotte, a wellness brand promoting healthy food and lifestyle choices for families.

  • What Inspired the Book

    Inspired by her daughters, Afua and Effie, and her own journey as a mother, Michelle created Afua and Effie's Magic Garden to make lessons about healthy eating, nature, composting, waste reduction, and caring for the environment fun and relatable for children.

  • What She Believes

    Change begins with education. Children are never too young to learn healthy habits, care for nature, and make a difference.

  • Her Vision

    Through Afua and Effie's Magic Garden and Little Legends Africa, she empowers children to care for themselves, care for others, and care for the planet, one little legend at a time.

When we teach children to care for themselves and the planet early, we plant the seeds for a healthier and more sustainable future.
